R. Kelly Announces Tour In Australia, New Zealand & Sri Lanka

Embattled star R. Kelly has just announced that he will be going on tour in Australia, New Zealand and in Sri Lanka.

But the singer, whose money-making abilities have been severely curbed since the #muterkelly movement gained tractions following Lifetime’s airing of their docuseries, “Surviving R. Kelly” may have another huge hurdle to face.

There is already a petition to have his overseas tour canceled.

Australia has been known to deny visas to artists and sportspersons, and Chris Brown, Floyd Mayweather and Lil Pump have all had their visa applications rejected in the past.

Although the dates and venues for the tour have not yet been listed, Australia’s shadow minister for immigration and border protection, Shayne Neumann has already raised concerns over Kelly entering the country.

“Labor strongly supports the refusal or cancellation of visas of non-citizens on character or criminal grounds,” Neumann said in a statement.

“Labor would be seriously concerned if immigration minister David Coleman would allow an individual such as R Kelly into Australia. If the immigration minister suspects that a non-citizen does not pass the character test, or there is a risk to the community while they are in Australia, he should use the powers he has under the Migration Act to deny or cancel their visa.”

The tour announcement tweet has since disappeared from Kelly’s social media.
